A West Norfolk community hub for deaf people has been saved after another charity took ownership of the building.
The future of a long-standing community hub for deaf people in West Norfolk has been secured after another charity stepped in to take over the building.
The West Norfolk Deaf Association had previously put its base on Railway Road up for sale because of ongoing financial pressures, raising concerns about the future of the services provided there.
The site has now been gifted to Deaf Connections, ensuring the building will remain available for the local deaf community.
The transfer means existing services, including hearing advice, support sessions and community activities, will continue to operate from the centre without interruption.
Both organisations say the arrangement will protect an important local resource while allowing the building to continue serving deaf and hard-of-hearing people across West Norfolk.
The move has been welcomed by supporters, who say the centre plays a vital role in reducing isolation, providing practical support and creating opportunities for people to meet and access specialist advice.
The charities say they are looking forward to building on the centre's long history of supporting the local community and ensuring it remains a valuable resource for years to come.
